The University of South Wales has partnered with Cardiff Council, Finance Wales, Technology Strategy Board, Welsh Government, Cardiff University and Wales Business Insider to stage the first Venturefest event in Wales.
A networking event which aims to turn business ideas into reality, entrepreneurs, directors of high growth companies, academics and investors will come together in July to debate issues faced by ambitious, high-growth firms including innovation, investment, people, commercial models and collaboration.
The event will feature a keynote address by Nic Weng Kan, managing director of comparison website business Confused.com and a panel of experienced entrepreneurs.

Costain is hosting an innovation / technology event at Cardiff University on the 15th May – their Blue Innovation Futures event – to provide an opportunity for innovators, entrepreneurs and businesses to present new market propositions, technology and services in the rail, water, power and highway sectors. This event is described as similar to “Dragons’ Den” i.e. Costain would like entrepreneurs / start-up companies / students to pitch their ideas for potential investment, business support and market penetration opportunities.

Government Support for Business R&D and Innovation

will be showcasing Government support available for R&D and innovation by small and medium sized businesses via presentations and manned stands.

Creative Exchange Wales Network is a unique project that focuses on collaborative knowledge exchange between academics and businesses in the creative industries, supporting development of imaginative projects. Our Creative Capacity scheme will help you to engage with a number of like-minded, innovative researchers and businesses. By attending you will also be eligible to apply for a share of £10,000 development funding available at the workshops.
